Exhibition: Postcard Correspondence
When Gallery 1988 asked me to design some postcards for an upcoming exhibition, I immediately thought how cool it would be to have been able to send postcards from the various ficititious videogame worlds I explored as a young boy.

When Gallery 1988 asked me to design some postcards for an upcoming exhibition, I immediately thought how cool it would be to have been able to send postcards from the various ficititious videogame worlds I explored as a young boy.
Planet Zebes, from the Metroid series, certainly wouldn't be the most hospitable place to visit, but I imagined the more adventurous might visit there hoping to bring back a hunting trophy of some sort.
The land of Hyrule, from the Legend of Zelda series, might be one of the most beautiful classic videogame worlds to visit. Whether going for a midnight boat cruise on Lake Hylia, shopping in Kakariko Village, or horseback riding at LonLon Ranch, there are a million things to see and do.
And even though Subcon, from Super Mario Bros. 2, might all just be a dream (or somewhere in your SUBCONscious), it would still an amazing place to visit, if only for the magic carpet rides and semi-sentient vegetables.
And of course a place to write about your adventures on the back. Don't forget proper postage.
